Personal Security

Miami VicePersonal security is something most people have been taught by their parents, lessons which we tend to forget or ignore from time to time.

Here are a few reminders and thoughts to keep in mind:

  • Try not to carry parcels or large packages when using public transport or walking through a public area.
  • Do not leave items of value in your vehicle; and leave the glove box open and empty.
  • Motorised drive way gates are easy to lift off the gear and slid open. Have a piece of metal welded to the frame above the gate on the side of the motor.
  • Use timed switches on lamps in the house when going away.

After 7 years in the private security field says, I have come to realise that many a crime could have been prevented if a little preparation and thought had been made.

  1. It is also a good idea not to use your home address as your default address on your GPS. If your car is broken into or stolen the thieves will have your address – probably along with your keys!!
