American based Century Casinos Inc. is selling its African subsidiary Century Casinos Africa Ltd. to Tsogo Sun Gaming Ltd., one of Southern Africa’s casino and hotel resort owner / operators
At a purchase price of $48 million, the properties include The Caledon Hotel Spa & Casino near Cape Town and 60 percent of Century Casino Newcastle in Kwa-Zulu Natal.
Century Casinos is an international casino entertainment company which owns and operates casinos through the USA and Canada. The company also operates casinos aboard a number of cruise ships.
This was the second sale announced by Century Casinos in December, the other being the sale of the Century Casino Millennium in the Marriott Hotel in Prague for $2.3 million.
